It was created by German diving enthusiasts with a love for the natural scenery and beautiful beaches of Mexico and the Dominican Republic. They aim to implement some of the best of German virtues like quality, punctuality, and safety in their business.

The center is well known for its famous local Whale Shark and Sailfish Safaris and Pro Dive International - Catalonia Gran Dominicus can also organize entire dive vacations and dive training. They have 10 centers in the Caribbean and have won several international awards for their efforts.
